What to do if Image-Pro Plus prompts for registration every time you start it

If you run Image-Pro Plus 7 from a user account with restrictive access rights, you may see a prompt for registration every time that you start Image-Pro, even if you have registered, or have already checked Do not ask me again and clicked Remind me later. One work-around for this is to temporarily lower your User Account Control settings. In Windows 7, go to the User Accounts control panel applet, and click on "Change User Account Control settings". On the User Account Control Settings page, temporarily set the slider to Never Notify. Then run Image-Pro Plus at least once and dismiss the registration prompt. You may want to run it a second time to verify that Image-Pro has accepted the change. You can then set the UAC back to the default setting.

  • An alternative to changing the User Account Control settings is to right-click on the program icon, on the desktop, and select "Run as Administrator".  Check the box marked "Do not remind" and close the dialog with the red 'X' in the upper right corner.  Close Image pro and when you reopen, the reminder will no longer open.
