It's been long time since my last question : ) I hope everything is going well.

Recently i was trying to separate some round object from smart segmentation. Is there any way to do it in IPP? Firstly, i segmented it with smart segmentation, then how to further choose those round objects by roundness factor?

one more question: is there any way to learn objects/backgrounds in different pictures when using smart segmentation?

Thank you very much for your always warm help.

Best,
Louis

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding the processing of a series of images through Image Pro. As I am new to the software, I am not too familiar with all the functions available.

From the attached file, you would be able to see that it is a series of consecutive images, where a bubble is rising through the tank with particles attached to the bottom of it throughout this process.

As the bubble is partially covered by particles, what I would like to do is isolate the surface of the bubble from the particles, and measure its exact dimensions such as its major axis, minor axis, equivalent diameter, centre of the bubble, etc.

A step-by-step process on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated!

Hello to everybody!

I would like to know how
to export images with measurement masks layout on top.

Basically, I am
segmenting my images based on the RGB pick tool and I am defining 2 classes of
objects (nuclei and immunohistochemistry signal). Then I do some area measurements,
and I am also filtering my objects based on area, so that I do not count areas
smaller than 2 sq microns.

And I would like to export
an image with the colored masks on top, after area filtration.

The only way I could
find was to press “Create preview image” in the “Count and measure objects menu”
after the actual segmentation. However, even though I come back to this menu after measuring
the data and applying the filter, this preview image contains the un-filtered
mask… Is it possible to obtain a mask of the full image (not a print screen) after applying the filter?

Thanks so much and all
the best wishes from Romania!

Take care and stay healthy,
you and your beloved ones!!!

Hello,

I came here a little while ago with some issues regarding discrepancies between an old and new system that I was hoping to rectify. I have since taken some of the advice, but have more questions than answers. In short, I have both manually and automatically calibrated the XY and Z positions in attempt to fix problems accessing certain functions to no avail. The issues I'm currently stuck with are the following (all having to do with the "stage pro" section under the acquire tab):

-the focus travel speed (lens/mag tab) is greyed out despite z being calibrated
-the site/plane sections (stage tab) are greyed out
-I cannot edit the current area (scan area tab) for frames in Y more than 1 (needs to be 28 for my system)
-I am still having trouble loading a previous scan area/pattern (scan area tab) into the new system
-I am hoping to load my previous system's sample pattern (sample pattern tab) into the new system but cannot figure out how; load list does not do anything when I try that.
-delta z, slice size, z top/bottom (acquire tab) are all zero but should not be based on the number I have set for planes per frame
-the "use user defined pos" box is greyed out (acquire tab)

If anyone is able to help, I would really appreciate it; we are hoping to have this system running but keep finding these small issues and need a fix!

Best,

Kayla

Hello!

I currently have a setup using IPP 7.0 that has been up and running for years and is well established. Recently, I have been trying to essentially replicate this setup to double productivity and output. Due to this, while IP 10 would be better/newer, I am sticking with IPP 7.0 for consistency. There were multiple issues (both due to the stage itself and the software) in the beginning, but most of those have been worked out. The main issue currently is that I was not the user who originally set up the existing (old) setup. Therefore, I am unsure how to proceed after a few last-minute hang ups. The main issue is that in Stage-Pro, the focus travel speed is greyed out. This is an ongoing issue and I have attempted to reconfigure focus in Scope-Pro configuration a few times now to no avail. Additionally, I am having some smaller issues with the scan area and sample pattern. I have attached comparison images with brief descriptions of the issue on this post (the top image in each set is the new setup and the bottom image is the current system that is in place). Any and all help/advice is appreciated! Thank you!

I have managed to create a macro that makes a few counts, AND operation, count again, serving results in Excel, closing images, bla bla bla. Everything works fine so far. I can even make this work in a batch processing, but now comes the problems.I want to batch process a lot of images (>500) and it seems like the opening/closing of images makes Image-Pro choke. I get a message of exceeded number of GID (???) 9800 and the batch wont go any further.

Have I reach a limit or can I somehow clean up cash as we go along?

- Torben Mandrup
