Grains AI Model For Measure Cu Material

Hi All,

How can I ensure full-frame coverage in Grain AI for copper without sacrificing grain size accuracy? Due to weak grain boundaries and inconsistent grain sizes. It leaves 'dead zones' where it doesn't detect any subFeatures.

I need the final statistics to reflect the true grain size distribution. Which parameters should I prioritize to balance 'gap filling' and 'structural integrity'?

Object Count Protocol: unable to change measurement type

I understand the pre-defined protocol can edit measurement type for data collector.
However, even after changing, the table only reflect the default types.

Even after adding again and clicking "collect", no values are shown in the table.
Can you advise on how I can edit so i can batch process my images using Protocol+ AI learning?

My question is "How does an IMAGE-PRO USER do an UNLOCK OBJECT on a LOCKED MEASUREMENT OBJECT created by the FEATURE MANAGER?".

The SCREEN CAPTURE IMAGE below and attached illustrates an issue that I need assistance with please.

In the IMAGE below and attached, I created 7 MEASUREMENT OBJECTS within the BLACK IMAGE using IMAGE-PRO 11.0.3. I then did an

ADD + ADD ALL

with the FEATURES MANAGER.

After that I did a

SET TO IMAGE

for

MEASUREMENT OBJECT NUMBER 1

within the WHITE IMAGE.

I was unable to move that RECALLED MEASUREMENT OBJECT NUMBER 1 using the SELECT MEASUREMENT TOOL.

I manually created a NEW MEASUREMENT OBJECT within the WHITE IMAGE and I was able to move it using the SELECT MEASUREMENT TOOL.

I found that the UNLOCK OBJECTS FUNCTION under the HIDE OR SHOW OVERLAY was DISABLED when either the RECALLED MEASUREMENT OBJECT or the NEW MEASUREMENT OBJECT was selected.

That is below and shown here.

I believe that I have seen this before but I cannot remember the solution.

We have tried using the trained UNET model for batch analysis. The model was trained on another desktop with similar specifications and has been working fine for the past few days. Dongle not working WS11

Hi Folks,

We tried all what you suggest on MeCy page but still the dongle is not working with WS11.

Aero 16YE5 Laptop

Windows 11 Pro, 24H2

We tried uninstall and reinstall with and without restart, running newest license manager download with IPP closed or from within IPP and connect with product ID, starting with Dongle active and inactive asf... Although the dongle is generally working, it always remembers the test version also after uninstall and restart, licensing and everyhing else (like the installed macros, layouts asf..) (today 0 days left and I need it daily for work!).
Please HELP!

The machine has no older USB ports, so for now connected via Micro USB to USB hub. Is though no problem with any of our other laptops/PCs with exactly same installation (IPP v10.0.15 build 7533, 64 bit, Advanced plus 3D advanced modules), companywide policy settings asf.

Apply Spatial Calibration from .lif file

I am working on a PROJECT using the AI FEATURES of Image-Pro AI v11.1.

I have everything working pretty well but I cannot seem to find a FEATURE that I need.

When using the COUNT FEATURE with a THRESHOLD, there is a

MEASUREMENT OPTION + SEGMENTATION + CLEAN BORDERS

which has the following OPTIONS

NONE
ALL
EAST
WEST
NORTH

SOUTH

as shown here.

I have created and attached an IMAGE with the

CLEAN BORDERS = NONE OPTION

on TOP and

CLEAN BORDERS = ALL OPTION

on BOTTOM.

When doing the COUNT using the AI PREDICTION, Image-Pro AI v11.1 seems to be running in the equivalent of the

CLEAN BORDERS = NONE OPTION

even when I set the

MEASUREMENT OPTION + SEGMENTATION + CLEAN BORDERS = ALL

The MENU that I believe comes the closest in the AI TRAINING TOOL and AI PREDICTION TOOL is this one.

This MENU does not seem to have the controls for CLEAN BORDERS.

Where is the CONTROL that will allow me to get the COUNT using the AI PREDICTION in Image-Pro AI v11.1 run in the equivalent of the

CLEAN BORDERS = ALL OPTION

After moving to Windows 11, receiving "Export to Excel failed!" error when exporting from data table

We recently moved to Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 2021 and now cannot export data from a data table to excel. Receive error "Export to Excel failed! Excel not found!". Exporting to Excel previously worked on Windows 10 (and maybe Office 13? - i.e., Old). I am receiving same error with both Image Pro 10 and Image Pro 11. Other export features (text file, copy to clipboard) work.

How to remove measurement annotation lines.

We make routine annotations of measurements. In the past, the measurements didn't have the annotation line between the label and the measure. Is there a way to get rid of that or change the color of the line to a different color or to clear?

Why analysis result is different when using different computer?

Recently we analyzed some L, a, b value in photos. We found that the L, a, b value is slightly different when using different computer to analyze even the photo and ROI was the same. Is this normal and how to avoid this? because it is important for us that the analysis results need to be repeatable.

modifying otolith app

Hi, We are using the otolith app to record increment measures. We use the .txt file export feature to combine multiple collections into one data file. I was looking at the app to see if the output for the txt file can be modified to change the output from recording annuli index to the annuli label. I'm not sure what coding language to focus on, but I think one issue is the formatting syntax. The function for GetAnnuliLabel() is below the DataAlaskaFish function. Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions for modifying the app, let me know

Are we able to measure across surface plot to measure grooves? Or display surface plot in um instead

Line profile also only provides distance and not depth.
Or anyone knows how to change legend of surface plot to um/nm instead of intensity?

I have a customer with an challenge related to the analysis of a MOVIE.

This customer would like to do an analysis of each frame of the MOVIE.

I have set up a similar challenge in the these images.

In this SCREEN CAPTURE, the FIRST FRAME of an 11 FRAME MOVIE is open and a DARK THRESHOLD has been set.

In this SCREEN CAPTURE the MEASUREMENT OPTIONS have been set to COUNT ALL DARK OBJECTS, EXTRACT PER AREA MEASUREMENTS, and show SUM PER AREA. The SUM PER AREA for FRAME 01 of this MOVIE is 29.15%.

In this SCREEN CAPTURE the MEASUREMENT OPTIONS have been set to COUNT ALL DARK OBJECTS, EXTRACT PER AREA MEASUREMENTS, and show SUM PER AREA. The SUM PER AREA for FRAME 11 of this MOVIE is 34.93%.

I have set up the DATA COLLECTOR in IMAGE-PRO 11 to COLLECT the SUM PER AREA. This is shown here with the problem.

The problem is that the DATA COLLECTOR does not do a COUNT on each FRAME of the MOVIE. In the last image above, I did a COUNT on the LAST FRAME (11 of 11). When I do a COLLECT FROM ALL FRAMES, I get the SUM PER AREA for the LAST IMAGE because IP 11 does not execute a COUNT on IMAGE 01 through 11 while doing the COLLECT FROM ALL FRAMES.

How do I make IP 11 do a COUNT on each frame of the MOVIE so that the DATA COLLECTOR will have the SUM PER AREA for the DARK OBJECTS in each FRAME of the MOVIE?

Line profiles not embedding when saving .TIF

Hi there,

I've been using Image-Pro 11 to do some image analysis/annotation on juvenile fish otoliths. I primarily utilize the line profile function to mark daily growth increments on transect lines. Other colleagues have shared .TIF files with me that have line profiles embedded into the image and they appear no problem when opened in Image-Pro 11. However, every time I've attempted to save an image that I've added line profiles to (through the file - save as option) they disappear. The only workaround right now is to save separate .lpf files in the Line Profile tool, but this is tedious when working with hundreds of images and I know in previous versions of Image Pro this worked just fine. I've checked the settings window extensively and there appear to be at least two or three different options for saving line profiles (I've tried basically every combination of turning them on and off to no avail) . Is there something simple I'm missing? Thanks for any help! Unsure if this matters but all images were captured on a Nikon Eclipse TI-2 microscope via Nikon Elements. I'm using Image-Pro 2D Measurements - v11.0 Module

Tiling from Hitachi equipment

I took zigzag photos using Hitachi equipment and tiled them in Image-Pro. Tiling does not work properly after changing the voltage under the equipment conditions. Will changing the voltage have any effect?

How to unload/unregister an app (encrypted package)

How to "unregister/unload" an encrypted app. There is only the ribbon button "OPEN PROJECT" but none that is CLOSING the PROJECT. And I couldn't find a way via the workbench, too?

Workbench Developer Environment has some strange behaviour

Currently I returned to write some code for an IP 10 Addin. And I feel I should post some behaviour that is a bit unnerving.

1. Each time one presses return to insert a new line in the code, automatically a line is inserted with "End Class".

I would rather prefer that an "End Class" only is automatically added if one has just wrote the initial "Public Class xyz"-line.

2. Loading the app: It seems that there are conditions when the app can't be loaded by the Load-Button , even there is no popping up of error messages.

Has someone an explanation for it ?

3. Similar to no. 2, I experience that my loaded app window appears sometimes / suddenly in a way as if it were not enabled (textbox background color changes to
). But the user is still able to write into text fields / press buttons / etc..

Has someone an explanation for this one, too ?

Packaging As Encrypted Package - the license key always fails

I have problems with packaging my project as an encrypted, license key protected app. The generated license key is not accepted. I tried it with a simply dummy app but this doesn't work either. So what am I doing wrong???

I tried the exact same steps with setting the project property Compiled = True and/or Hidden = True ---> none of it worked, though.

Here are screenshots from my steps:

Button Click OK

Menu Ribbon APPS > Open Project > DummyProject.ipx

Scale bar disappears from saved image

I am having the issue that the scale bar is not being saved with my image in the images folder of my PC. The scale bar is present in live view and also when the image is captured on the side bar within Image pro premier software, but it then doesn't appear to save with the image into the folder. The image is being saved as a .tiff file. I have been told the software used to save it in the image folder but may have changed since an update. I have not seen this however. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am experiencing the following issue . . .

** I navigate to the AUTOMATE RIBBON
** I hover over the BATCH PROCESSING button and the button turns LIGHT ORANGE indicating that the mouse is in position
** I press the BATCH PROCESSING button and the button turns DARK ORANGE indicating that the button is pressed
** I release the BATCH PROCESSING button and the button returns to the LIGHT ORANGE color and nothing else happens (namely the BATCH PROCESSING PANEL does not appear)

I experienced this yesterday and it was resolved (with the assistance of VERN in TECH SUPPORT) by deleting the

    C:\Users\Matt\AppData\Roaming\Media Cybernetics\Image-Pro Premier 64-bit

folder.

Deleting the folder resolved the access problem for the BATCH PROCESSING PANEL but it caused PREMIER some amnesia about other OPTIONS and SETTINGS.

Is there a more targeted way to recover access to the BATCH PROCESSING PANEL?

High pixelation image Pro 11

Good morning,
I have been using image pro 11 for over 6 months. No problems with this software until last week. Since last week, the pixelation level of the images is abnormally high. I have an Infinity 1 camera, I have checked on the Infinity analyze software and the image is perfectly clear letting me think that the problem comes from the Image Pro software. I have the latest version 11.0.2 installed.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

Hello everyone,
I have a set of samples, and after processing, the samples themselves will transition from sharp corners to rounded corners. I need to determine the actual numerical change in the object's sharp corners and rounded corners.

The problem is that existing types in software make it difficult to discern differences (e.g. roundness, diameter, etc.).

The following image is the numerical reference I used.

There are only slight differences, and there's no way to distinguish them.
As shown in the example below, the roundness of the two objects is nearly identical, but it can be observed that the object on the right belongs to a sharp-cornered type.

The main issue is how I can use actual numerical values to convince others that it has become smoother after processing.

The attachment contains the measured object and its type.

Incremental distance function issue.

Hello everyone,

I have encountered an issue with the "[Incremental distance]" operation. When the object I am measuring has a serrated or zigzag shape, certain sections fail to provide accurate measurements, as shown in the diagram below:

I need to apply the "[Shrink]" and "[Grow]" operations once in order get the correct measurements,but it's noticeable that this action affects my original pixel data(Resulting in pixel contraction & deformation).

How can I address this problem of [Incremental distance] operation failure?
