What is the best way to measure color evenness in a magnified image of skin?
I want to count or measure % area of any skin color disruptions on up-close images, so that I can compare panelist to panelist. I am having trouble because when I select the dark spots, it selects the slight creases in the skin.

Kristi,
It's difficult to recommend something without seeing the image. Can you post some screenshots?

Kristi,
If you want to measure spots o different color, then you can use Smart segmentation and get results as on my screenshot, measurement options attached.
If you want to measure skin roughness, then you can apply some Edge filter (e.g. Edge Minus, as on my screenshot) and then use threshold segmentation
