JSON file format

Hi,

I'm coordinating image data and metadata. Can image Pro coordinate file data with JSON files? I'm pretty new to the format, so any info/documentation would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

Image-Pro doesn't have an option to read JSON files from UI.
What do you want to implement? Pass a special metadata to Image-Pro opening an image file? Are you creating image files?
Image-Pro supports multiple image formats with metadata, including OME.TIFF. OME.TIFF can contain metadata inside the image file or in a side-car file. You can check OME.TIFF format specification here https://docs.openmicroscopy.org/ome-model/6.3.1/ome-tiff/specification.html

  • Thanks Yuri!

We had a contractor working with images that we captured using the image pro 11 interface. Usually, we save the meta, calibration, and measurement data right to the tiff, but they are wanting the JSON file with a jpeg or tiff. So, I was hoping for a batch process to unpack a stack of tiffs with the corresponding JSON file. I'm pretty new to the format, but I can check out the link you sent.

Hopefully that clarifies the goal a little and I really appreciate your help.
