Visual Styles error when opening images

When opening files from the Welcome Page or the file menu, I get the following error and the application effectively locks on this screen. ( IPPremier 9.3.3)
This is a new installation (computer was refreshed/upgraded, running Windows 10 Pro (64-bit))

    Does this error occur when opening images from the File menu?

  • Both from the file menu and the Welcome screen.  It seems to get fixed when I turn the the Windows 10 Ease-of-Use screen setting to High Contrast (this makes the computer hard to use with that color scheme).  The standard Windows 10 theme does not seem to work.  
  • Exactly the same error and problem. Although able to open an image through file explorer, select the file, then open with Image-Pro. A work around but ideal.

  • Also to note, Once this error prompt appears the program totally locks up and you can't do anything.
