How to get rid of lines between measurement label and measurement

Hi,
We make routine annotations of measurements. In the past, the measurements didn't have the annotation line between the label and the measure. Is there a way to get rid of that or change the color of the line to a different color or to clear?

Thanks,
Kevin

    Hi kwmcneel,

Do you create these measurements using manual measurements tool?
If yes, they you can controls colors from the Appearance panel of the measurements. By default the label doesn't have any line extension, but if you move it, the line is shown:

  • Thanks! we are generating measurements based on the line profile tool and the falling to falling. We used to be able to use the features manager to convert the measurements with labels into annotations and had the added flexibility, but that seems to not be working after switching from IP10 to IP11. I have a macro to help walk through processing the image above to creat a black line profile at marks and annotate distances between groups. I worked in IP10, but is having issues translating in 11. If I can get rid of the line extensions, I can stick with a snapshot of the measurement labels, but it's not possible to use the auto label position for the measurements to keep them from overlapping the line profile and converting the measurements into annotations drops the lables. Thanks for looking into this.
  • I was just able to get the labels over to the annotations. I'll play around with the macro a little more to see if I can get the annotations to work
