using a mask to measure channel intensities
I am using a redox sensitive fluorescent protein to measure the oxidative state of mitochondria of living cells. I acquire fluorescence in two channels, one considerably brighter than the other. I would like to use the brighter channel to generate a mask (that would identify the position of the mitochondria) and use the mask to measure intensity in the other (redox sensitive) channel. Can anyone tell me how to go about this?

Hi Doug, What you need is to transfer measurement object outlines from one channel to another. You ca execute count on the brighter channel to get object outlines. Then you add these outlines to Features Manager, then activate other image and set the outlines from Features Manager to that image. Measurements will be automatically generated providing you intensity data. Regards, Yuri0

Thanks Yuri - it would have taken ages for me to figure this out.0
