Can I Use a Grid or other method to create set size ROIs?
I am looking at tissues and need to analyse the same total area of tissue from each slide. However I therefore need to be able to choose ROIs that are full of correct tissue. I have been using a grid calibrated to 500 micrometre squares to pick out ROIs of this size, which is quite time consuming, (cropping them manually with the grid as a guide and saving them). I was wondering if there is any quicker way of doing this? I know ROI by numbers is available but I can't work out a usedful way of using it. If I could convert a rectangle grid to ROIs or automate saving cropped ROIs that would help. I could always delete unwanted crops later.

Hi gailc,
Yes, you could convert the rectangular grid in to the ROIs using the Features Manager:
1) Place the rectangular grid on the image (Grid Overlay tool)
2) Add the grid to the Features Manager and change the type to ROIs
3) Apply the grid to the image0 -
Thank you. Not sure if it is quicker yet, but more accurate anyway!0
