Is it possible to get standard deviation of pixel intensities for a ROI?

I'd like to routinely measure the noise in images.

Yes, it's possible, though you should use not ROI, but just draw a measurement object (Rectangular or Polygon). Then add "Intensity, Std dev" to the selected measurements, the value will be reported in the data table.
