Colored pictures in jpeg format don't save with measurements

I uploaded a jpeg colored photo into image-pro and applied the line profile then when I try to save for analysis the measurements associated with the line profile doesn't save.

As a JPEG, the additional data shouldn't save at all.  JPEG as a format is unable to save additional header data.  You should save the images, with overlays, as TIFF if you want to have the measurements return upon reopening.

Additionally, you will want to save your original images as TIFF images before doing your measurements (Line Profile) and performing a Save for Publication.

Once I changed the picture to black and white it allows me to save, so it only doesn't save if it's black and white. Is this normal?
