Imaging of Barcodes in Premier 9.1

Greetings.

In Image Pro Premier 9.1, if an image contains a barcode, can Premier read that code and translate it to text? We are considering using Image Pro to analyze reaction wells (multiple wells per image) and need to be able to ensure that each reaction well is individually labeled for record keeping.

Image-Pro Premier doesn't read barcodes itself, though this functionality can be added as a macro or an app using some third party libraries. There is another forum topic about this:  http://forums.mediacy.com/discussion/comment/2198#Comment_2198
