Extracting coordinates of the outline of a shape

Hi
I am looking for ways to extract coordinate points of the outline of a geometric shape in Image Pro Premier 9.2(e.g., from image of a sphere, i want the coordinates over the circumference so to plot the exact shape profile in a plotting software) . Is there any way out there?
