Re: How to create a macro?
Yes, you can do that with Image-Pro. 1. Record a macro that does the analysis on a single image and collects the data to Data Collector. 2. Use Batch Processing to run this macro on a folder of your images (set your macro as Loop On), so the data from all images will be collected to Data Collector's table. Yuri -

Re: Hi, How can I measure the 'change of angles' of a moving object with respective to moving baseline
Hi Palak Jain, You posted the image of the real sample and now I can see that you should use "Falling" edge detector to find positions of the surface contour. Place 2 line profiles horizontally, starting from the same X coordinate with some offset (dY) in vertical direction: You should have only 1 "Falling" edge per… -
Re: show metadata of an image in the output
Hi Svenya, Reading custom DICOM tags can be a complex task requiring low-level programming. As I can see from your screenshots, "StudyDate" looks like the file creation date, if that's the case, then you can use build-in metadata fields and read Image:Date field directly to Data Collector (you can find it in Image data… -
Re: Can I assign an image's filename to the datatable?
Hi Fiona, The best way is to collect data from all images to the Data Collector and in addition to the measurement parameters add Image.DisplayName or File.FullPathName (if you want to know the full path). Then you can just save or export all data set in the end of experiment. BTW, today at 11AM EST will be a webinar… -
Re: Hello all ! I am Raviraj, please find the attached file for question? thank you
Hi Raviraj, You can combine all your images into a sequence, then use line profile to detect layer height, add necessary measurements to Data Collector types and click "Collect from All Frames" (Collect drop-down) - the layer height from every frame will be collected to Data Collector, then the data can be analyzed in a… -

Re: Update CLASSIFY BY MEASUREMENT for NEW FRAME in a MOVIE
Hi Matt, Classification is not executed when you change frame, so the class stays the same. If you want to update classification, on the current frame, you must execute classification on that frame. (either manually or by macro) Another option would be to collect intensities from all frames and do classification in the… -
Data Collector statistics
Hi Guys, I set a double threashold to identify different type of materials. Each threashold is linked with a class (Ferrite & Austenite) Once counted the Area/PerArea sum values are collected in the data collector. I would have statistic of each class instead of the global statistic (both classes together) Is there any way… -

exporting data collector table in between batch processing folders of images
Hello, I have a batch processing macro set up that can quickly count particles on thousands of images and collect all the measurements into the data collector. Currently, when I am done doing the batch, another macro exports the data into a text file using the run after feature of batch processing. I have several folders… -
Object areas in data collector show very large values, or zero
Beginner's questions continue: 1) What is the unit of the object area in data collector? I 'd assume this is pixels but the values are much too large. I am analysing and image that is 11201 x 8133 pixels, i.e. which has a surface of ~91.106 pixels (91 millions). The detected objects, which cover about 10% of the image,… -
Re: COMPOSITE (USER) MEASUREMENT . . .
If you want to have user-defined measurements in Data Collector, then yes, you can define the formula right in the dialog. You can create user-defined measurement clicking the New button in the Types dialog of Data Collector, then write a formula using available measurements and arithmetical operators. The macro projects… -

Re: Is it possible to run different measurement algorithms on different ROIs in the same image?
Hi Ross, It is possible, but only consecutively: 1. Create ROI1. 2. Count Objects using Algorithm1 (e.g. Smart Segmentation recipe 1) 3. Move ROI1 to different position (as ROI2), activate "Preserve existing data" option (on Measurement Options Panel, Count Options group) 4. Count Objects using Algorithm2 (e.g. Smart… -
Re: How can I count the number and area of larger darker cells compared to the area of smaller cells?
Hi Braydenx, I checked your images. The staining of dark cells is very weak (espesially on 3502.1.16.a.tif image)), so I had to use a custom recipe (based on low-pass filtered I-channel of YIQ) to segment dark cells, which produced an acceptable result. I've attached the segmentation options and Data Collector types that… -
Re: Yuri, batch processing closing/saving files question
Hi Ross, Yes, you can use Data Collector to collect data from invisible images, it would be much faster then saving measurements table, especially if you setup data collector to collect only statistics (use "Measurements Stats" table) where only 1 row per image will be collected. You should modify the LoopOn macro to… -
Re: How to approach excluding holes above a set threshold
Hi Ross, The best way to export data from multiple images to one Excel sheet is to use Data Collector. So, you collect necessary data from every image in a batch macro, and then just export Data Collector table with all results (you can find several posts about Data Collector on this forum). Regarding saving annotation.…
